Petrophysicists
have and get Frequently Asked
Questions,
and we have undertaken to address some of them here, in a
community-built reference. We
aim to help by sharing tips and techniques, to serve as reference, and perhaps
to trigger healthy
discussions... all for the advancement of practical Petrophysics.
This is a project in progress, and we value your visit, and your comments and suggestions. About PPPEDIA:The idea of PPPEDIA started in February 2006, to address some simple questions frequently asked by petrophysicists, in a systematic manner, and publish the results in the form of clear and practical recommendations. At the present time, i.e. shortly thereafter, the content is being produced by a group of FESAus volunteers. All are experienced Formation Evaluation professionals, and are making a sincere effort to contribute in the spirit of this forum. If you find here anything here that helps you, that stimulates your interest, or that perhaps even that you disagree with, then PPPEDIA is working. Tell us what you think! The PPPEDIA format:All articles will be published in a simple standard format - here is an example. All contributions presented here are submitted in good faith. Before publication, any article is peer-reviewed by two of us independently. All reasonable efforts have been made to provide accurate information but we do not certify or even claim that it is accurate or correct, and we reserve the right to make changes to it at any time without notice. To the extent permitted by law, FESAus accepts no responsibility or liability for any losses or damages of any kind arising out of the use of any information on this web site. We are very interested in hearing from you, particularly if there is a question which you feel we should address here. When you send us a question or a problem, we reserve the rights to address it, to address a variant of it, or to not address it. Write us to submit a question. At this time we are not actively soliciting articles - by article we mean a question, with its answer, written by you in the spirit and format of PPPEDIA. However, you are welcome to submit an article, and if we decide to publish it, you will be suitably acknowledged. Before you spend too much effort on such an article, you may want to contact us to discuss it beforehand. When we receive your article, we will review it, and we reserve the rights to edit it and publish it, or not to do so. You are welcome to send comments, corrections, or additions to any article you find here, and we shall endeavour to read and consider them. We cannot guarantee that your comments will result in a change in any article, but if they do, you will be acknowledged as a contributor. Write us to comment on an article. You are welcome to copy, reproduce, or cite anything you may find here, but we ask you to make a clear reference to the origin of the information, as follows:
The following articles were written prior to the port of PPPEDIA to Wikipedia:
Article subjects under consideration The following are subjects that may be addressed in the present forum. If some of these are of particular interest or value to you, let us know which and we will raise their priority. These are just starting points... If there is another question that itches, please tell us about it.

| Our name and logo are partly in typing-finger-in-cheek reference to WIKIPEDIA, the Free encyclopedia, which, at the time we started here, had no entry for Petrophysics (but, to be fair, has one on Formation Evaluation). |
